Wanderlust – Thailand & India

I’ve been researching lots of trips recently and teasing myself with several lovely countries, one that is standing out for me at the moment is Thailand.  Looking at friends pictures, instagram and searching on the net has unearthed a stunning array of beautiful beaches, spectacular landscapes and quirky cities.

Although it takes a reasonable length of time to fly there from the UK, the flights that I’ve found so far haven’t been too expensive and hotels, well what can I say I have found some amazing places for extremely affordable prices.  I’ve had a few recommendations about going to Thailand and the fact that for a long haul break, you can do it with a modest budget makes it even more appealing.

I have a real strong pull towards visiting the East at the moment and another place I’d love to experience is India.  I’m not talking about the usual holiday spots such as Goa but getting a real feel for the country and the way of life.  The country features so many extreme living standards from bustling and overcrowded cities to remote rural settlements.  I would love to travel around the country and really appreciate the differences in culture, food and lifestyle.

So far my plans are just a few scribbles but I’m determined whether this year or next, these countries are on my travel bucket list and I can’t wait to visit them.  Have you travelled to Thailand or India, I’d love some recommendations or inspiration.
