Valentine’s Day Inspiration & Competition

As the month of love approaches, it’s hard not to notice the shops filled to the rafters with flowers, chocolates and everything in shades of pinks and reds.  If you are partial to the odd bit of cuteness that surrounds Valentine’s Day then there is plenty to goo all over even if it’s just treating yourself to something nice.

For some including myself, I don’t spend a fortune on my other half for Valentine’s Day but I do like to pick out a little trinket or something personalised to mark the occasion.  Now you don’t have to spend a small fortune on gifts (although you can if you want to), there are tons of special ways to celebrate a relationship that puts a little heart (pardon the pun) into the celebration.  Whether you want to enjoy the occasion with the other half or fancy getting together with friends, it’s another excuse to have a little party.  Who wouldn’t want that!

If you are looking for inspiration for a Valentine’s Day surprise, why not take a look at these fabulous ideas from Thornton’s.  This guide on How to Have a Happy Valentine’s Day gives you everything you need to create a memorable day and evening.  Try baking a scrummy cake or create a personalised menu jam packed with things you love to eat and if the new year’s resolutions have slipped a little, be sure to indulge in a sweet treat because who doesn’t love a dessert or two!

Now you can’t go wrong with chocolate, everyone loves its and it’s totally affordable even when you personalise it.  As a Valentine’s pressie, I’m giving away a delicious Thornton’s chocolate heart and a box of Thornton’s Continental Heart Chocolates so you can treat yourself or give to a loved one.  All you have to do is enter below to be in with a chance and indulge a little this Valentine’s Day.
