The past couple of days I’ve been looking at different things to do around Devon. As the weather is getting better, there is always lots of little local events that are affordable and great for everyone from couples to families. A few days ago I explored Exeter and the historical side of the city and yesterday I stayed local and went to the annual Bideford Bike Show.
Now you may be thinking this kind of event is purely for bike enthusiasts but it is a great event with local music, good food and little market stalls, also there are lots of amazing motorcycles.
The sun was shining for the afternoon event which was located along Bideford Quay. The turnout was massive with lots of bikers, motorcycles and members of the public coming to join in the event. The event also supports local charities including The Chemotherapy Appeal NDDH, The Children’s Hospice Southwest and K9 Focus and a fabulous £4365 was raised for these worthy charities.
The summer months are perfect for exploring the local area and joining in the events in your area. I’m always on the lookout for affordable or even free events and things to do that are fun and interesting and I’d love to find out what great events are in your local area.
