As a huge supporter of local and independent shops and boutiques, I thought I would share a post on the nationwide campaign to support and promote small businesses within the UK.  It’s called Small Business Saturday and it’s taking place on Saturday 6th December.

Small businesses are the hub of your local area and supporting the growth of these business promotes choice and value for money for all of us shoppers out there.  This campaign is helping to showcase lots of small business from clothing shops, business services, bakeries, art galleries, jewellers, crafters and everything in between.  The beauty of this event is the awareness it creates for all those dedicated people who have brought their skills and talents to the market to share with us whilst providing a unique shopping experience.

If like me you love shopping in independent shops and boutiques, this is the perfect opportunity to explore your local area and get all those important Christmas presents in plenty of time for the festive season.  You are guaranteed to find some special and unique items.

Everyone can get involved and all the information you need is on the website, check out: Small Business Saturday

If you venture into your local town on the 6th December, support your local independents and use the hashtag #SmallBizSatUK to show off your purchases and the businesses you are supporting!

Small Business Saturday exists to support, inspire and promote small businesses on the 6th December and beyond
