Last weekend I visited family and had a pre birthday celebration, I can’t actually believe I’m going to be 31 this week! I decided this week I was going to have a birthday week, I’ve have a jam packed schedule from meeting friends, having dinner with hubby and treating myself to a total hair makeover on Friday. Yesterday we took a visit to Cribbs Causeway in Bristol and it really felt like Christmas is coming.
The shops were starting to showcase pretty decorations, there are loads of amazing winter lines that I want to buy and the weather felt very wintery. Mall Cribbs haven’t done their light switch on yet but they have a big event planned on 12th November with Blue performing and turning on all the pretty lights. If you want to go along, there is a small charge of £2 but it all goes to The Grand Appeal, if you live near it’ll be a great event.
So whilst spending a day shopping, I picked up a few bits for a birthday treat including a couple of snuggly autumn jumpers and a must have tartan scarf. The scarf is so big it acts like a shawl too, great for when I’m freezing in the office. I have some great pressies to open on Wednesday and I’m so excited to see what lovely gifts I’ve got.
Later on in the month I’m off to Bath for the start of their spectacular Christmas Market and I’ll be posting that on the blog shortly afterwards. It’s the first time I’ve been so can’t wait to see the amazing goodies on offer as well as see some of the sights. My home town has some pretty exciting news too, the Coca Cola truck is driving into town so Christmas really is coming. Whenever I see the advert it really does feel festive, strange really as it’s only a bottle of coke! I’ll hopefully take a peek when I pop into town to see what the fuss is about.
So I have lots of things coming up on the blog focusing on the wonders of the South West, so stay tuned and hopefully they’ll inspire you to visit one day!
