I’m on a bit of a fitness kick at the moment, it’s the first time in forever I’ve actually enjoyed working out. I’m going to the gym at least 3-4 times a week with my hubby with the determination that one day I’ll be one of those #girlsthatlift. I am also running 3 times a week before work which is getting easier now (I was struggling to get out of bed!). All that said, do I really need to push myself further with another fitness challenge, I say why not!
Being in the 30 something bracket now, I’m not ever going to be the super skinny me of my late teens and saying that, I don’t want to be. I’m happier and more confident in my body and shape than I have ever been but my let down is my healthy eating habits (non existent at present). So even when I’m exercising my butt off, my bad eating habits are still letting me down. My next fitness challenge Results with Lucy, will not only help me think about what I put in my mouth but aid my overall fitness with HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and full body workouts approx 4 times a week.
I’m going to be taking part in the Six Pack HIIT Harder challenge and here’s a little bit more about the plan:
- The plan will be 4 x workouts per week – 3 x HIIT sessions and 1 x full body workout session working out from 25 – 40 minutes including warm up & cool down
- The plan promises to increase fitness and build muscle tone
- Six Pack HIIT Harder pushes you onto the next level of results and a sustainable way to be healthy
- The plan comes with a meal plan designed to sustain your energy for the activity level
- The plan also comes with an Eating Out Guide and Advanced Nutrition Guide
I’m going to show my progress throughout the challenge and my twitter will be filled with my musings on how it’s going, the good, the bad and the ugly.
Over the past few years and up to the point I got married, I had piled on the weight and I didn’t feel comfortable or healthy. It is totally personal preference on what size you feel comfortable with but for me I wasn’t healthy. I suffered from a bad back, stomach issues and something as silly as climbing the stairs made me out of breath. Since then and through mainly fitness (as I said I’m not the best at healthy eating), I’ve lost over two and a half stone. That may not be a lot to some people but I’ve had my ups and downs and I’m back on track, feeling better about myself and my health.
Here’s a before and now picture, just as a illustration of my progress so far. I’m hoping to increase my fitness even further with this plan and can’t wait to share my progress on this 12 week journey. If you want to join in, the plan is available from 25th June! I’d love to hear your experiences.
I can’t wait to share my photos in the next few weeks……..
